Measuring certain neurotransmitters and adrenal hormones is an important step in beginning to understand your patient's HPA-T (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal-thyroid) axis function. Imbalances in HPA-T axis function are known to be associated with many chronic symptoms and conditions.
